My mother was on 20/20 ABC New i-Caught, it was so cool to watch my mom on there and I was really proud of her. I know she is helping so many other parents by speaking out about our story.

As a teen I know I gave my mother some really hard times and now that I am older I am realizing some of the dumb things I did. Of course you couldn't tell me then.

It has always been hard to talk about things that happened but I know now that talking about them can help others. I was at CSA (Carolina Springs Academy), one of the worst experiences of my life. It was definitely the worst 6 months of my life.

I can't say it did anything for me except make me more angry and more resentful of my mother.

Years later and after a lot of good therapy (thank God my mother got me out of there and found a really nice therapist) I believe I am succeeding in life not because of CSA but in spite of them.
